Melissa Ruiz

Melissa Ruiz is an accomplished American Paraclimber and four-time U.S. Para Climbing National Champion who competes in the Women’s RP1 category. Born with Cerebral Palsy, she has built her competitive career through determination, adaptability, and technical skill. Her achievements include a silver medal at the 2023 World Championships, 8 World Cup victories, and a gold at the 2025 World Climbing Para Series World Championships in Seoul, South Korea. As a Paralympic hopeful with her sights set on LA28, Ruiz continues to push boundaries in adaptive climbing while inspiring others through her perseverance, adventurous spirit, and commitment to the sport.
